The Skyhawks battle back and forth before giving up the lead for good and lose to Sidney 11-4. The Skyhawks jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first to take an early lead in the game. Sidney answered back with 2 in the bottom of the 1st. In the bottom of the 3rd, Sidney scored a run and took a 3-2 lead. In the top of the 4th, the Skyhawks retook the lead, scoring 2 runs and leading 4-3 after 4 innings. Then things started to crumble. After giving up 2 runs in the bottom of the 5th and falling behind 5-4, things completely unraveled for the Skyhawks when they gave up 6 runs in the bottom of the 6th to fall 11-4.

Brayden Harris started on the mound for the Skyhawks and went 5 innings, giving up 5 runs on 5 hits and 6 walks. Cayden Osborne took over in the 6th and surrendered 5 runs on 2 hits, 2 walks and a hit batter. Ayden Davis finished the game surrendering 1 run on 2 hits with 1 strikeout and 1 walk.

Offensively, the Skyhawks garnered only 5 hits and 4 walks. The hits were timely hits, at least initially. Rueben Marquess (2-3) lead the Skyhawks with 2 hits. Hayden Arndts (1-2 with a walk), Kannon Reeser (1-3 with a double) and Xavier McDougle (pictured) (1-3 with a Homerun) collected the other hits for the Skyhawks.

The Skyhawks drop below .500 for the first time since the beginning of the season and look to get back to .500 as they take on Xenia Wednesday at Xenia.
