Fairborn Skyhawks defeated Dayton Christian 8-6 on Thursday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at three with Fairborn Skyhawks batting in the bottom of the fifth when Colin McCloud grounded out, scoring two runs.
Billy Hill earned the victory on the mound for Fairborn Skyhawks. The pitcher allowed two hits and three runs over three innings, striking out four and walking one. Garrett Shuttleworth and Parker Keeton entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Shuttleworth recorded the last out to earn the save for Fairborn Skyhawks Varsity.
Hayden Arndts, Caleb Anderson, Xavier McDougle, McCloud, Hill, Kannon Reeser, Andrew Schmidt, and Richardson each collected one hit to lead Fairborn Skyhawks Varsity. Caleb Anderson had a double and Kannon Reeser hit a triple. David Richardson lead the team with 2 RBI.
