In the first scrimmage of the season, Skyhawks Varsity started out slow, falling behind 8-0 after the top of the 4th inning. From that point on, it was all Skyhawks. Despite 4 physical errors and a couple of mental errors by the Skyhawks defense in the first 4 innings, they kept their heads up and rallied back to take the lead and win the game.

Kannon Reeser started on the mound and was the unlucky beneficiary of bad defense. Kannon pitched very well, 4 innings with 4 strikeouts and 0 walks and threw 60 pitches (46 for strikes).

Ayden Davis pitched the last 3 innings, giving up 0 runs, striking out 7 while surrendering 1 walk on 45 pitches (30 for strikes)

Hayden Arndts led the offense going 2-3 with 4 RBI knocking in 3 of those runs on a bases loaded double clearing the bases. Xavier McDougle went 3-4 with 1 RBI. Brayden Harris had 2 RBI going 1-4. Kannon Reeser, Cayden Osborne and Andrew Schmidt each added a hit in the game as well.

Despite hitting the ball well in the first 3 innings, Southeastern made the plays and held the skyhawks hitless until the 4th inning. That is when the hits started falling. The Skyhawks got 9 hits over the last 3 innings, and busted out 7 runs in the bottom of the 5th to take the lead and eventually the win.

They Skyhawks Varsity scrimmage Dixie at home on Tuesday March 19.
