Dennis Bliss
My name is Dennis Bliss, and I have coached at Fairborn City Schools for 20 years. I have coached baseball and football at the Jr High and High school level over that time. I am currently the Varsity baseball head coach. I am married to Susan Bliss and have two sons that graduated from Fairborn.
I am in my second year coaching varsity baseball.
I am an alumnus of Fairborn High School (class of 1986), where I played football and baseball. I joined the United States Navy and spent 10 years in service. Upon getting out of the Navy, I returned to Fairborn and began raising my sons and coaching at various levels.
My coaching philosophy focuses on mechanics and fundamentals of the sport, as well as life lessons such as sportsmanship, discipline, accountability, etc. I am passionate about coaching and helping to develop the young men and women that I have the opportunity to work with.
I am a firm believer in the fact that these players are student athletes, and that student comes first. I want each of my players to be good students, good people and good players.
