Fairborn Skyhawks Varsity falls behind early and unable to catch up to TIpp.

Fairborn Skyhawks Varsity fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 12-7 loss to Tippecanoe on Tuesday. Despite the loss, Fairborn Skyhawks Varsity did collect nine hits in the high-scoring affair.

Brayden Harris (3.1 innings) started the game for the Skyhawks. He consistently threw strikes (70%) but some timely hits, some untimely errors and a couple of mental miscues by the Skyhawk defense and the game quickly got out of hand. Garrett Shuttleworth came in and pitched 3.2 innings and the Skyhawks offense finally started to get rolling, making a valiant effort to come back, but falling short.

Fairborn Skyhawks Varsity scored five runs in the bottom of the third inning to make it a 6-5 game. Fairborn Skyhawks Varsity's big bats in the inning were led by singles by Brayden Harris and Hayden Arndts and a groundout by Cayden Bailey that knocked in a run. Despite the first attempt to come back, the Skyhawks surrendered 4 runs in the top of the 4th to fall behind 10-5.
David Richardson (pictured) went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Fairborn Skyhawks Varsity in hits. Hayden Arndts, Caleb Anderson, Brayden Harris, Cayden Bailey, Garrett Shuttleworth, Xavier McDougle and Kannon Reeser all had 1 hit each. Hayden Arndts led the team with 2 RBI.

Skyhawks go at it again Wednesday April 19 at Stebbins.
