Fairborn Skyhawks fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 6-0 loss to Butler on Monday. Butler threw a no hitter against the Skyhawks, striking out 13 batters in the game. Despite being no hit, the Skyhawks played a solid game defensively. Cayden Bailey (pictured) had several outstanding plays at shortstop that ended multiple threats during the game. Kannon Reeser and Xavier McDougle made some very good plays in the outfield as well. The entire defense played well, but the offense took the night off. With 13 strikeouts (2 of which reached base on dropped third strikes) and being no hit, the Skyhawks left 6 runners stranded on the bases, included leaving the bases loaded in the 6th inning. The Skyhawks played a very good game defensively and pitched well in the game, but just could not get the bats going at all.

The Skyhawks square off against Butler again Tuesday at home.
