Skyhawks win 2nd Scrimmage

Skyhawks Varsity baseball pulled off second come from behind win in their second scrimmage of the year. Dixie jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first. Fairborn put 2 on the board in the bottom of the second and 3 more in the bottom of the 3rd to take a 5-3 lead going into the 5th.
In the top of the 5th, Dixie rallied to tie the game at 5. In the bottom of the inning, Cayden Osborne (pictured) hit a solo HR over the right field fence to take the lead. The Skyhawks shut out Dixie in the last 2 innings to secure the win.

Jase Duncan (2-3) and Reuben Marquess (2-2 with a walk) each collected 2 hits. Reeser, McDougle, Harris and Osborne each added 1 hit.

Brayden Harris started on the mound for the Skyhawks going 4 innings, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits while striking out 5. Xavier McDougle pitched 2 innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out 1. Ayden Davis shut the door in the 7th giving up no hits to secure the win for the Skyhawks.

Fairborn is on the road Thursday at Greenon for the final scrimmage of the season, and kick of the regular season Saturday at home vs Kent.
