The Skyhawks broke out the bats, forgot to bring the defense. Fairborn outhit Greeneville 16-5 and got out to a 7-0 lead after 2 innings. Then the defense started unraveling. Brayden Harris started on the mound and threw 4 innings surrendering only 3 hits and 3 walks while striking out 7. Brayden gave up 7 runs (0 earned runs). Xavier McDougle came on in relief and pitched 2 innings, surrendering 2 hits, walking none. He surrendered 2 runs (1 earned). So in all, the Skyhawks gave up 1 earned run in the game on 5 hits and 3 walks.

On offense, the Skyhawks definitely came to play. The belted out 16 hits. Hayden Arndts (pictured) went 3-4. Cayden Osborne also belted 3 hits (including 2 doubles and 4RBI) Xavier Mcdougle also added 2 doubles . Brayden Harris and Jase Duncan also added 2 hits each. Kannon Reeser, Nick Cunningham, Reuben Marquees and Andrew Schmidt each added a single. Everyone in the starting line up had at least one hit. Unfortunately, it was not enough to secure the victory on this night.

Fairborn squares off against Greenville again on Wednesday at home.
