The Skyhawks finally put it all together and played a complete game, defeating Greenville 9-2.
Hitting has not been an issue so far this season and tonight's game was no exception. Fairborn knocked out 11 hits in the game, led by Xavier McDougle, who went 2-3 with a walk and 3 RBI. Hayden Arndts (2-4, 1RBI), Andrew Schmidt (2-3, 1 RBI) and Reuben Marquess (2-4 with a double) each added 2 hits. Brayden Harris (1-4, 2 RBI), Jase Duncan (1-4) and Cayden Osborne (1-4) each added singles.

The pitching for the Skyhawks was superb. Reuben Marquess (pictured) threw a complete game (7 innings, 87 pitches 6 strikeouts and 1 walk, giving up only 2 hits). He gave up 2 runs (both unearned).

While the defense did give up 2 unearned runs, the fielding was much more solid than past games. The Skyhawks committed 3 errors, but they were obviously costly errors considering that Greenville only had 2 hits and 1 walk - yet scored 2 runs.

The Skyhawks next take on Trotwood Madison Thursday at Fairborn High School at 5:00.
