Addison Hart
Senior, Golf
Addison Hart started playing golf as a Freshman at FHS. She is now in her senior year.
In my 14 years as the Fairborn golf coach, we have not had a lot of female participation, Addison has had to play with the boys on a coed team. So she has had to play most of the boys matches as well. In girl's matches, they can play from the red tee’s, while boys usually play from the white. Addison has always been adamant about hitting from the white tee’s. She has probably given up over 10,000 yards in her four years due to the course length difference, but she would not have it any other way. Addison has played in probably 95% of our matches in the last four years, and her score has counted in most of them since she does play from the boy’s tees. Also, to her credit, she earned a 2nd team All-Conference selection last season. She is a scrapper and “can do anything the boys can do”!

“Her golf game is always pretty impressive, she has a natural swing and can give the ball a ride. I had an opposing coach comment on how good of a swing she had just last week. But I think it’s more her personality and selfless nature than her actual play that has impressed us the most. It’s just who she is as a person and a teammate. She is hard to rattle (at least outwardly) and always has a smile on her face. She is willing to play anywhere in the lineup, and we usually put her with a younger player because she helps to settle them down as well. She is just a great person and comes from a great family. We are going to miss her next year. Hopefully, she will help us coach after she graduates.”
Addison is currently attending FHS but mostly taking classes at Sinclair Community College, where she will get her degree in Dental Hygiene. Once she has her degree from SCC, she wants to obtain her real estate license as she plans on living out in the country (with acreage so she can hunt) and owning numerous rental properties.
